If, as part of your work, you travel for much of the year, then you know what can make or break your ideal flight scenario. Perhaps it is the great deal of time you have to spend waiting when you catch a commercial airline flight. That is time you will not be able to get back, and if your time is worth a great deal of money, commercial flights may simply not be cost effective for your or your company. Instead, why not consider the benefits that come with chartering a private jet? You will see that air charters can provide you with more than just simply transportation.
You can save time when you rent a jet. One phone call is all it takes to have a personal concierge handle all of the details involved with your flight, including before flight, in flight, and deboarding requirements. This will free you up to focus on what is most important, namely, your work. Also, you will have access to over 5,000 airports worldwide when you use a chartered flight, so that you will have a direct trip with fewer transfers to contend with in order to arrive at your destination than you would on a commercial flight, thereby saving you both time and money.
Another distinct benefit unavailable to commercial flight passengers is that you may choose who will fly with you when you charter a plane. You can use the in-flight time to have a private meeting with important staff or clients, or you can hold a larger meeting with several key players. This availability on a private plane is an impossibility on a commercial one, and it can also help you use your time in a more cost-effective manner.
When you make a charter flight, all of the details are met concerning your particular tastes and needs. Any sort of five-star cuisine can be yours at your request, and any dietary considerations can be stylishly met. If you require special services while in flight, perhaps the aid of a secretary, a lawyer or accountant, or a computer technician, all of these services are at your disposal when you choose a jet rental. You can also enjoy the comfort of a massage, or the assistance from a nanny or a personal hair dresser, to name only a few of the elite services we offer to make sure that you are comfortable as you fly and that all of your business and pleasure needs are handled with the care and attention to detail that you deserve and expect.
No matter where in the world you wish to travel, there is a private jet that can be chartered to get you there with elegant ease.

If you are seen with a business card holder, a quick impression would be that you are a corporate man and that you are a very busy man. In reality, however, you are not in a corporate set-up. You never wore a suit in your life. You are a writer and you love to travel a lot. So what is it with the leather business card holder?
Many people restrict the use of a business card holder for corporate setting. In reality, it is not only in business that you get to see a business card holder. Why not use it to remember places or people you meet while traveling in an exotic place. You can not imagine what observations you can note when you request for a business card from someone you are able to meet while traveling to China or Africa. With every business card that you can lay your hands on, start asking the question “why is he here?” to yourself. A computer mogul in the midst of an African wildlife, seems out-of-place, right? That is when your curious self begins to think it over and get to know the person.
After having conversations with your accidental companion, you begin to understand, he lived a long period of his childhood years in Africa because his father was a Red Cross diplomat official and he wants to revisit his old homeland. Thank God, you have a leather business card holder with you, just enough to protect the business card he just handed to you. What fascinating people to meet while traveling, and using a simple business card holder, you can almost be sure that you can remember every detail about that brief moment of contact.
The leather business card holder is not only useful for business meetings. A casual meeting with a businessman will be enough to get hold of a business card. Remember that businessmen are businessmen; disseminating their business cards are part of the usual marketing approach to look for good business opportunities. So you can be sure that everywhere they go, they will have a number of business cards tucked somewhere in their wallet or traveling bag.
Having a leather business card holder will also depict you as a professional which makes you a candidate for an intelligent conversation. People may even be intrigued why a traveling writer has a leather business card holder with him. Try it; it will make you more interesting than who you are already. At the end of the day, you unpack your leather business card holder and recall each and every interesting people that you have met that day.
You can even write a novel about it, too. Why not write one about the leather business card holder and all the interesting people that it holds? You may even be famous one day as the traveling writer who wrote the story of his travels and the memories of people he met along the way.

Every year for the past several years I have taken a vacation and prospecting trip to the little town of Sierra City, high in the Sierra Nevada range of California to prospect for gold on a friend’s mining claim. Sierra City is a historic gold rush town of a little more than 200 persons. Known mostly for its rich lode mines, it also had some rich placers as well. Its now a center for various recreational activities including prospecting, fishing, etc.
The North Fork of the Yuba River flows through the town and is a well known gold bearing river and has been heavily dredged, especially in the area both above and below the town of Downieville. It runs for miles through the Sierra Nevada range. Where I am working it has been little worked in the last 10 years as the claim is pretty much surrounded by private property, and permission to trespass is required. The spot where I prospect is actually a well known local swimming hole for the kids – but there are nice nuggets in the bedrock and among the boulders in the background.
The whole of Sierra County is an area known for large, coarse gold nuggets. The geology in much of the county is very favorable for the formation of large gold. Historically, more large nuggets have been found in Sierra County that any other county in California, and the region in and around the North Fork has produced most of those finds. During the gold rush, miners found a 25 pound nugget in the North fork of the Yuba river between Sierra City and Downieville. An 11 pounder was also found at the Jersey diggings on the hill just above Downieville. Many of the side streams that dump into North fork of the Yuba have yielded dozens of large nuggets and quartz/gold specimens containing between 50 and 150 ounces of gold. There is even an unsubstantiated tale of a heart shaped nugget from one of these side streams that contained over 1800 ounces of gold. Most of the really large nuggets were found in the early days when thousands of miners scoured the hills, but even in today’s era of smaller scale operations and weekend prospectors, rich pockets of crystalline gold and multi-ounce nuggets continue to be found from time to time. As an example, some friends of mine found a 7.5 ounce nugget while dredging in September 2004.
Sierra county is also famous for the 16 to 1 mine hard rock mine whose deep workings continue to yield rich pockets of gold in quartz. During the summer of 2004, the mine yielded a single pocket containing almost a million dollars worth of gold. As at the 16 to 1, important and large finds continue to be made periodically in Sierra County.
Sierra City, California is located around 1:45 minutes from my home in Reno. This year I moved my trailer into the local campground for an entire month, from mid-July to Mid-August. I wasn’t there the entire time, but I would come up for long weekends, and then go home to work. While the deserts are roasting, Sierra City is at 4200 feet and the weather this time of year is usually great with highs in the low 90s and lows in the low 50s. The water temps runs around 65, which is cool but still pleasant – it feels very nice to be prospecting in the water that time of year. I spend most of my prospecting time dredging. In many ways, small scale suction dredging was born on the North fork of the Yuba, as many of the early dredging pioneers like Ernie Keene tested their home made machines out here, sometimes with amazing success. Over the years, I’ve made a number of friends at the campground there and many show up year after year, just like I do. There are detecting opportunities, high banking, sniping, lode gold prospecting and plenty of other things for the prospector to do. I always wish I had more time when my season ends and I have to come home. Its a great place to visit and those who discover this hidden gem of the Sierra range are usually very happy they did.

Now think of safari…of Serengeti…of wildlife sanctuaries…what images dominate your thoughts? Yes, animals.
Wildlife aside, safari would only be composed of a number of plant species, of terrain and of strange creatures like insects, bugs and the likes. Without the animals, African safaris would be reduced into a haven of sedentary and rarely moving species. Without the animal of the safaris, ecosystems would not exist. In a sense, animals add to the beauty that life in Africa may present. They give meaning. They add excitement. And they encourage tourism.
It is thought that African safaris started to become famous when the hunt for animals boomed sometime in the nineteenth century. This is because men then were perceived bold enough if they can kill wild animals right in their habitats and in action. This activity provides them a bag full of hunting trophies that adorned the walls of their libraries.
These days, a great thanks to movements for wildlife, hunting is restricted to many areas of African safaris. Nonetheless, there are still areas where slaughtering of wild animals are allowed. Because of the banning, travelers are now limited to only watch the animals hunt each other, predators to prey, and experience the exchange of life and death among them. Some of us still see hunting as a sport though.
The most famous of the animals in safari are known to be the big five which includes rhinoceros, lion, buffalo, leopard and the elephant. Why they became to be, no body is sure. Why other equally wonderful animals are not included in the list remains to be a mystery. It’s safe to presume that that’s simply the way hunters prefer it.
Adding to the big five are plain animals and mammals that coexist with each other. Some being the prey. Some being the predators. Nonetheless, they all take their parts in the circle of life. They give life.
Though not really considered animals, it is still worth saying that there are thousands of insect species, bugs, butterflies, and other moving creatures found in the African safaris. However large or big they can get won’t really matter. They still balance wildlife and they aid in continuing the existence of ecosystems in African safaris.
Some people say, once human intervene with this natural process, even only for once, he may intervene with the succeeding years and life of the species that live in the safaris. And this seem to be true. Sudden and gradual fluctuations of population in the safaris are very much affected by the minute actions of the animals and other living things that exist in it.
Thus it is important that travelers and explorers let things be in the wildlife. Just allow them to exist and do as they were destined to do.

Kuelap is an ancient and truly magnificent structure. The only place that can really compare to its size, mystery and grandeur is the Sanctuary of MachuPicchu, but even then, Kuelap is at least twice as old and quite a bit bigger- it is estimated to contain 3 times more material than Egypt’s largest pyramid!
It was built by the Chachapoyas (meaning the warriors of the clouds), which was what the Inkas called these people (the name they used to refer to themselves is unknown). Very little is currently known of this culture and since the Incas and the Spanish conquistadors were the principal sources of information on the Chachapoyas, unbiased, first-hand information of this indigenous culture remains scarce. Much of what we do know about them is based on archaeological evidence from ruins, pottery, tombs and other artifacts.
The Chachapoyas were an Andean people who lived in the cloud forests of the Amazonas region of present-day Peru and one of the most advanced civilizations to develop in this tropical jungle region.
Studies of pre-Inka Chachapoya skeletal remains from Salsipuedes and other burial
Sites indicate that the Chachapoyas were of Andean stock but, on average, taller than
their contemporaries in other parts of ancient Peru (1.59 meters for men and 1.46 meters for women).
Among the scattered colonial descriptions of Chachapoyas, almost all the Chroniclers commented on the beauty and white skin of the women. Even Father Calancha succumbed to their beauty, noting:
“These are the… most graceful Indians in all the Indies and the women are the most beautiful.”
The chronicler Pedro Cieza de León described them:
“They are the… most handsome of all the people that I have seen in Indies, and their wives were so beautiful that because of their gentleness, many of them deserved to be the Incas’ wives and to also be taken to the Sun Temple (…) The women and their husbands always dressed in woolen clothes and in their heads they wear their llautos, which are a sign they wear to be known everywhere.”
Their art style also reflects a mix of local and exotic influences. According to the analysis of the Chachapoyas objects, their cultural goods have Andean roots and do not exhibit Amazon cultural tradition. The well-preserved burial offerings found near the Laguna de los Cóndores (the lake of the condors) are playing a vital part in revealing answers regarding the genesis of the style. Recurring images found throughout the area in pictographs and in textiles and gourds display human figures sporting feathered headdresses, which suggests common narratives and beliefs and the myths they reflect. Another image found near the laguna is that of a feline-like animal with fanged teeth. Such representations may reflect aspects of Chachapoya symbolism, whose meaning has been lost in time.
Kuelap is the biggest and most famous of Chachapoya architectural sites, only one among hundreds of similarly constructed settlements straddling ridges and clinging to
mountain tops. It is presumed to have taken at least 200 years to complete and was only brought to the world’s attention in1843, when it was found in remarkably good condition by Juan Crisóstomo Nieto.
It was built on top of a huge mountain peak using millions of cubic feet of stone and consists of massive exterior stone walls, which contain more than four hundred buildings inside. It is roughly (no comma) 584m long and 110m Wide, with 20 meter high walls.
Inside the Kuelap fortress can be found various structures whose use, or purpose, is a complete mystery. One, known as “ El Tintero,” is a large stone structure built in the shape of an inverted cone, a real challenge to the laws of gravity, since the diameter of its top is much larger than that of its bottom. Some think it was a prison. Others think it was an oracle observatory where the shaman would go inside to observe a special star pass over “the lens” to signal an exact time or event of the year.
Around the fortress, set inside each of the five walls, are gigantic open doorways or portals. The best preserved portal, and probably the principal one, is 10m high and 3m wide. As you go inside the entryway you’ll see a passage that looks like a ramp with walls and if you continue along this passage it will start to narrow down to a small tunnel until, eventually, it will only allow the passage of one person at a time. This would have been an ideal place to fend off enemies; since the walls are too high to scale or raise ladders to access, the gigantic doors would seem the logical way for an enemy to storm inside. However, once they had started up the ramp, they would discover too late, that the passageway narrowed down to where only one person at a time could squeeze inside the citadel.
Though it might seems that Kuelap was built for defensive purposes, the true reason for its construction remains unknown. Some have tried to demonstrate that it, was more than a fortress; it might have been a fortified place destined to serve as refuge to the population in emergency cases. Some say that the Chachapoyas didn’t build their citadels on the tops of mountains for defensive reasons at all, but in order to make maximum use of the land for cultivation.
Referred to as the ‘Machu Picchu of the north,’ there is still a great deal to discover and investigate about Kuelap. It has a veil of mystery that intrigues all those who visit it, although they are few due to its remote location, but many say that its beauty far outweighs the hardships of getting there. Over the past decade, the Peruvian government has been working on making it easier for tourists to access. Kuelap is a treasure of ancient secrets that deserves to be viewed and protected.

Roma, Eterna Cita (Engl. Rome, Eternal City)! The capital of Italy is located on the rivers Aniene and Tiber, close to the Mediterranean Sea. With a population of almost 9 millions (in 2004), it is the largest city in the country. Rome has three airports: Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport – FCO –commonly known as Fiumincio is the major airport, Giovan-Battista Pastine –commonly known as Ciampino Airport and it handles usually charter flights and European flights including low-cost airlines and Aeroporto dell’ Urbe is used mostly for private flights.
Once in Rome you’ll be amazed by the number of place to see: churches, fountains, palaces and many more. Probably the landmark anyone knows is in Rome is the Colosseum, by its Latin name Amphitheatrum Flavium was once the place where gladiators fought for their lives and to entertain the emperors and crowds.
The churches date back to the 3rd century and probably the whole life is not enough to see them all. The oldest church is San Martino ai Monti. Some churches from the 4th century include: San Marcello al Corso, San Marco, and Santa Pudenziana. The newest church was built in 2003 and is called Dio Padre Misericordioso.
Some very nice places to see are the fountains. Everybody knows about Trevi fountain (Fontana di Trevi), where if you throw a coin in , you are bound to get back to Rome. Other fountains are: Acqua Paola , Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi and Triton Fountain. Also there are some museums that need your attention: The Vatican Museums, The Capitoline Museums – founded in 1471 and Galleria Borghese – houses one of the largest collections in the world. There are a lot of places to stay, from hostels and one star hotels to historical buildings and five stars hotels. For those who are on a budget trip, a hostel is the best place to spend the nights. One of them is Hostel Star Light and it’s located in the city centre, near the Termini station and very close to the Trevi fountain.
Some of the one star hotel include: Hotel Dino – also in the centre of the city, Hotel Gabriele – in the historical center of the city and Hotel Vienesse. For those who want luxury, there are the five stars hotels: Aldrovandi Palace Hotel – close to Via Veneto, Hotel Hassler –near Trinita’ dei Monti Church, to name just two of them.
Of course, you can choose from guesthouses, bed & breakfast, country houses, camping and many more, based on what you like and on your budget. Here you can choose the website to book your hotel for your stay in Rome.

Many of us have always dreamed of living in New York, just to see what it’s like. There’s nowhere else that creates such an atmosphere of energy, coolness – and even though most people wear a lot of black – color. The vibrancy comes from the billboards, the lights, and the anima of the millions of people packed into this culturally rich capital, especially in the bustling center of it all, Manhattan. We may not all have the chance to live there, but visiting and choosing to stay in a downtown (or uptown, or midtown) apartment is a wonderful way to see the city for all that it really is.
Hotels are fine and dandy, of course, and Manhattan is filled with them. If you want a truly unique experience, however, while also satisfying your urge to live here if only for a brief while, then check out one of the many apartments or condos available to rent for a weekend or a few weeks. As you ride the elevator down to the street alongside your fellow “tenants” you’ll be refreshed by the difference one-of-a-kind accommodations can have on your outlook. In other words, prepare to see Manhattan as it was meant to be seen.
Wherever you choose to stay on the island, you’ll likely be close to one attraction or another that has been on your list of things to see in your lifetime. Be it Central Park or a certain Broadway show, this treasure will finally be in reach once you’ve unpacked your bags at your modern, almost swanky home away from home. Manhattan is a pretty dense place, so you’ll have all that you need – restaurants, groceries, coffee shops – at your doorstep, and if something calls out to you that’s a little farther away, that’s what taxis and subways are for.
Most people arrive with at least a vague itinerary. See MoMA, eat in Little Italy, pick up some exotic souvenirs in Chinatown, or catch a taping of a talk show. Besides the basics, it’s also worthwhile to save some time for idle wandering, too. You never know what you’ll discover as you stroll through the streets, turning whichever way sparks your imagination. Manhattan is actually pretty safe these days, so don’t worry about stumbling upon a totally undesirable area; as long as you follow your intuition and your most whimsical inklings, you’ll be sure to have an enjoyable time.
The view from your vacation rental will likely keep you spellbound for a good amount of time, so save room for a little wine drinking and skyline watching. You and your companion will love the fact that you can kick back and relax if you’ve had a long day trekking through town. Order in some dinner, settle onto the sofa, and relish the feeling of existing peacefully several stories above one of the busiest cities on earth. You may be able to hear the distant sound of honking horns, but like a true New Yorker, you’ll soon grow used to it.
Your vacation rental will make you feel right at home here, especially thanks to amenities like a full kitchen, extra towels and linens, and even a doorman who will provide whatever advice and helpful hints you need. Each day will be an adventure made better by having had a good night’s sleep, and your proximity to an array of landmarks will never cease to amaze you.
You probably know by now if a homeaway.com/NY-vacation-rentals/New-York-City-vacation-rentals.htm Manhattan Vacation Rental would be right for you. If so, by all means go online today and check out the offerings. You might stumble upon a special deal, secure the apartment of your dreams, or just acquire a few ideas for when the time is right to make your big move.
