While most vacationers head to Orlando specifically for a visit to Walt Disney World, there are many additional opportunities for vacation fun and excitement near Disney. If you have the luxury of a few extra days in the Orlando area, it’s always a good idea to spend some time away from the noise and hubbub of the Disney resort and check out the other cool things to do near Disney, escaping the crowds and assuming a slower pace for a day or two.

Of course, depending on what attractions you choose near Disney World, you may still come up against a few crowds. For example, nearby Universal Studios and Universal Islands of Adventure have become nearly as popular as Walt Disney World. Two parks in one, the Universal complex offers fun for a variety of age groups. Older kids and adults will tend towards the serious thrill rides at the popular Islands of Adventure, featuring such favorites as The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman and The Jurassic Park River Adventure, though little ones will certainly enjoy Seuss Landing and its many attractions. Universal Studios puts you close to your favorite movies, like Shrek, ET, Men in Black, and many more.

Near Disney, you’ll also find SeaWorld Orlando. Long a fixture in this area, SeaWorld is bigger and better than ever. For decades, visitors have been descending upon this attraction to view the famous Shamu, the killer whale, and watch the amazing dolphin shows. In the last decade, however, SeaWorld has added more animal attractions and several rides, including Journey to Atlantis, a combination log flume/roller coaster, and Kraken, the tallest, fastest, and only floorless roller coaster in Orlando.

One of Orlando’s newest attractions, located near Disney, is Discovery Cove. This unique visitor spot provides guests an opportunity to hobnob with the dolphins. Limited to an attendance of 1,000 people per day, this intimate attraction provides some solace from the crowds that inhabit many of Orlando’s other attractions. Guests are given lots of personal attention and swimming with the dolphins is an experience that few get the chance to enjoy. There’s also a beach onsite for those who just want to relax.

While Disney World has two excellent waterparks, you can enjoy two additional waterparks near Disney and close to many hotels. Wet ‘n Wild and Water Mania offer water attractions suitable to all ages, from gentle rolling rivers for families to enjoy together to wild slides that aren’t for the faint-of-heart.

If you’re exploring the area near Disney World, don’t discount the city of Orlando proper. There are a number of fun places to stop in the city, like the fascinating WonderWorks. This upside-down building (supposedly picked up by a tornado and deposited in that position) is located on International Drive and is easily accessible from the Disney complex. Families who visit WonderWorks can enjoy a pizza dinner and magic show, interactive games, hang-gliding and roller coaster simulators, laser tag, and a number of other fun hands-on activities that delight all ages.

If you want to combine fun with food, you’ll find two great places to do that near Disney. Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede provides you with a night of foot-stompin’ fun, including a down-home dinner, rodeo-style show and great country music. If you prefer something different, Arabian Nights is a medieval show featuring the Lippazaner Stallions, lots of knights, a prince and princess, a magic genie, and a prime rib dinner that will knock your socks off!

Cancun is in Mexico. Many think of it as the delight of the earth. It will provide you with breathtaking beaches, the most mouthwatering food, and a nightlife that is like no other. You can also enjoy the water activities, the vintage appeal, and of course, the romance and ecstasy of the environment. It has become one of the best tourist locations in the Caribbean and also the Eastern part of Mexico. It should be! All of the amenities and the attractions have made it such that you will want to stay forever. And forever is not a bad thing. It is possible! Imagine the possibilities of Cancun. The possibilities for fun and excitement are endless. It would be amazing to vacation whenever you felt like it. The thought of owning your own part of Cancun can now become a reality. It may be in a condominium or timeshare, the decision is totally yours to make. The only problem now is to find you a place for a fair price and the best agent for the job. That could prove to be difficult if not impossible without the right things in place.

Initially, the thought of Cancun property sounds good to you but it needs to be considered carefully. This is true of all major purchases. If you have never been to Cancun, Go! Create for yourself an adventure! Take the time to explore the country and view the surrounding environments. Decide what your fancy is whether it is a condominium, timeshare, home, or apartment. Make yourself aware of the selections to choose. Start the search for a real estate agent who can assist you in these matters. When all this is finished, you can begin to make the choice and not before. The decision will still need more time and consideration on your part before you make the final jump.

Something to consider timesharesreview.com/ about Cancun property is the buying agent is essentially the realtor. They can help to find the right abode for you. They are to stand up for you and make a certain amount of commission off the purchase and not until it is sold. This refers you to the agents who are willing to make the sale final from beginning to end, as it should be instead of the one that is in a rush to make the money for them. Watch out for these people. The agent you choose may decide to keep important things from you if it might sway your decision to buy the property. Become aware of the good and bad things and all problems before you agree to the purchase. Do not be left in the dark to find your own way, be smart and educate yourself. Any flaws in the property and the repairs necessary should be investigated before purchase. Do not rely on the agent to tell you all these things. This will be something you will need to find out on your own.

The agent listing is the realtor or individual who has the property to sell. The one who owns the property is responsible for the commission to the agent. The listing agent is different because they are rooting for the one selling the property. Be cautious about the sales talk dealing with that particular property. This also falls under your responsibility to find out about the property in question.

The simplest way to know about the agent is to do research online. The majority of the agents or the businesses have websites that can give you information about the services, fees, and might have the properties for sale. They are well equipped to handle out of the country individuals and to tell about the harder parts of purchasing property from one country to another.

In addition, it is wise to remember that licensing in Mexico for real estate agents is nonexistent. This can make it difficult for you to find a reliable person who is not going to scam you. Do not think about this in a way that will not allow you to trust anyone there. There is in existence, a national association of professional agents that follow strenuous rules that are in place for the buyer’s protection. It is best to find an AMPI. Make sure they are an AMPI member before you think about getting their services.

By using this information, you can be well informed and the whole process of purchasing you little slice of heaven. This is your dream and only you can make it happen with no strings attached. It will give you the ability to make you dreams come true!

How often have you heard something like this? “Sure, we would love to travel, but we don’t have the time or the money to travel now. We’ll do that later, when the kids are raised or when Dad retires.” Suddenly the kids have flown the nest and we look back with some misgivings. Should we have taken more time with the kids and done something really special as a family? Did we miss out on something genuinely valuable? Will we be able now to personally enjoy travel?

Here are some common reasons why many of us miss the value and joys of travel.

1. We sometimes postpone our own recreational travel because we feel we just can’t afford it. Often income does not stretch to cover the expenses. It’s probably not a great idea usually to go into debt for a vacation; however, some would argue that point. It’s certainly not wise to dig a pit of debt so deep that we are buried alive, but some families borrow from their savings now and again to fund unforgettable family experiences.

2. The job requires much of our time. When we do get a few days or a week off for vacation, the yard and the home demand attention. The kids are playing T-ball and soccer and basketball and play in the band and… The results? We often wear out several minivans and SUVs running hurry scurry from town to city and state to state, and we fail to invest our lives in travel — travel simply for the sake of enjoyment. We may be losing out on more than fun. Being busy is not always the best investment of our time.

3. Travel and vacation are not always easy. Worthwhile vacations require planning and effort. Sometimes a distant, exotic destination is not the best choice either. Half the battle is in our creativity and attitude! “Travel” does not always mean a trek across the nation or a transatlantic cruise. Travel is to decide on a destination, be it a neighboring county fair or a national shrine, and to enjoy both the journey and the destination. The travel experience may be practically in our own back yard.

4. In the final analysis we have to ask, “Is a travel vacation worth the cost and the effort now, this year? More often than not, the carefully chosen vacation probably will be fun, increase our appreciation for the world we live in, increase family unity, and engrave memories that truly last a lifetime. Travel enriches our lives with meaning, and who can place monetary value on that? Travel snatches us out of our tiny corner in this wonderful world and hurls us into the human family, and there it can perform its magic.

“That all sounds great!” you say. “But reality is reality. The bills tear holes in our bank account. The home begs a new coat of paint. We have to shell out $100 for our kids’ neighborhood party next week. And besides, it is expensive to travel! It costs a small fortune these days to fly to Florida and stay in a nice motel.”

That is reality. Those are real demands that we encounter in the real world. However, others who do travel may have some answers. Some of those world travelers have learned travel tricks and can share some tips that will empower you to see over your backyard fence. If you dream of swimming in a blue lagoon in the company of curious dolphins or of standing on top of a 14,000 foot peak in the Rocky Mountains savoring the spectacle of hundreds of peaks and the cleanest air you’ve ever inhaled, then let’s join hands, and give substance to your dreams, and vitalize your lives and your closest relationships with travel.
